Michael Abrahams, MD
Michael Abrahams, MD, is a leader and integral member of our gynecology team at Patients Medical. He has been practicing since 1996, working to bridge the gap between natural and conventional gynecology. Dr. Abrahams is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and specializes in minimally invasive procedures. He has delivered thousands of babies, and was featured on TLC's The Baby Story in several episodes.
Dr. Abrahams received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1990. He began his residency at Maimonides Medical Center from 1990 to 1993, and was senior resident at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Hospital Boston from 1993 to 1994.
Dr. Abrahams then completed a Fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Pelvic Surgery and Colposcopy (abnormal pap smear treatment) from 1994 to 1995. He is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
Dr. Abrahams currently holds hospital privileges at Maimonides Medical Center and Richmond University Hospital, and is a clinical assistant professor at NYU School of Medicine.
His areas of interest and practice include holistic gynecology, bioidentical hormone therapy, fibroids and fibroid surgery, endometrial ablation, laparoscopy, colposcopy, abnormal pap smears, human papillomavirus (HPV, genital warts), LEEP procedure (procedure to remove abnormal tissue), menopause, and infertility. He is a current member of the A4M (Association of Anti-aging Medicine), and looks forward to taking care of your gynecologic needs.

Keep in mind that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. If you are insured by a plan that we do not have a prior arrangement with, we will prepare and send the claim for you on an unassigned basis. This means the insurer will send the payment directly to you. Therefore, our charges for your care are due at the time of service.
If you have determined that your insurance plan will cover some or all of the treatments that you receive at the center, we will be happy to provide you with the documentation you need to submit a claim for reimbursement.
