Daniel Silverstein, MD

Daniel Silverstein

Daniel D. Silverstein, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and treats patients using an integrative approach of conventional and complementary medicine.

In 1995 Dr. Silverstein graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. He then went on to complete his medical school training at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn. During that time he began an independent study project on the uses of alternative and complementary modalities for the treatment of medical illness. He thus began to forge a path of learning that would complement his formal medical training. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center where he obtained firsthand experience in integrative medicine through the Beth Israel Center for Health and Healing.

He began his medical career working in hospital medicine. While there were moments of intense gratification in being able to help bring about recovery from severe illness, he felt that he could be much more effective helping people achieve optimal health by working with patients before hospitalization was necessary. He switched his focus to outpatient practice and continued his education in integrative medicine. He has had integrative training in Arizona under the auspices of Andrew Weil, MD, as well as through the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American College for Advancement in Medicine, and the Tahoma Clinic in Seattle.

Dr. Silverstein uses a balanced approach in finding the most appropriate treatment for his patient. He combines the best of allopathic and complementary modalities to create a path for healing and good health.

How Dr. Silverstein Can Help You Live Healthier and Longer

We have work coaches and life coaches, why not a health coach?

If research has estimated that many medical visits and hospitalizations are related to chronic stress, and much of our longevity is determined by our lifestyle, then wouldn't it make sense to talk to someone who specializes in helping people to reduce and manage chronic stress, and in developing healthier lifestyles to maintain health and longevity?

At Patients Medical Dr. Silverstein does this all, and is able to work with clients regardless of geographical location. He'll help you gain a new perspective on stressors, to understand the connection between thoughts, stress, and health, and if needed he will create an individualized supplement regimen to buffer the physical effects of chronic stress.
