Gino Bottino, MD is Patients Medical's holistic oncologist, immunologist and hematologist, practicing for over 30 years. He received his medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, then completed his residency and Hematology fellowship at Montifiore Hospital, Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. Dr. Bottino also completed a fellowship at Biologic Therapeutics Branch of the National Cancer Institute at Frederick, Maryland. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Bottino's cancer protocols are integrative, considering an oncology patient's diet, the state of their immune system, exercise habits, emotional status and mental state when creating a protocol. He incorporates nutrient IV therapy, nutrition therapy, acupuncture and aesthetic therapies to assist his patients in feeling and looking their best throughout their treatment cycles.
He also loves to use his experience as an immuno-hematologist to treat infertility. Dr. Bottino has an 80% success rate in assisting conception for patients whose previous IVF efforts have failed. By working with the patient's immune system and providing genetic therapy to treat gene mutation, he can create the balance required to increase fertility for both men and women and, ultimately, conceive.
Dr. Bottino loves mentoring students in his field. He served as an Assistant Professor of Hematology and Oncology at the NYU School of Medicine and received the New York Medical College Teaching Appreciation Award each year.
With an emphasis on staying connected with his peers and the latest research in oncology, immunology and hematology, he is affiliated with a variety of professional associations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, American Society of Hematology, New York Society of Hematologists and Oncologists, and the American Medical Association. He is also a Cancer Liaison Physician with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Dr. Bottino has three hospital affiliations in the New York area, including Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mt. Kisco, Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
