These programs are available to companies to improve the bottom line while at the same time empower employees to take charge of their health, feel better about themselves and their jobs, and hence increase their productivity.

Patients Medical's Employee Health & Wellness Workshops

We facilitate nutrition and wellness workshops for executives and employees who want to improve their work performance by learning how to eat healthy, reduce stress, and integrate self-care into their daily routines. The net result is cost savings to the organization in health care costs

These workshops include education on how to implement better nutrition and improve lifestyle choices to create a healthier life, more efficient day, and reduce stress in the work environment.  The workshop is a fun and informative forum for the discussion of healthy living. Patients Medical is unique in its approach to health. Our holistic physicians support the care given to patients by teaming with Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Dermatologists and Nutritionists who offer complimenting alternative measures to address disease prevention, chronic disease and other therapeutic goals without the use of drugs. In addition, our Fitness and Nutrition specialists provide individual and group programs tailored to improve health. We offer a wide variety of programs to help achieve your health and nutrition goals. These programs combine the skills of our team to optimize health.

We recommend a complete history and physical examination as an initial baseline for anyone who wishes to lose weight, optimize their eating program and improve their health.

Medical Assessment.   An initial comprehensive assessment with one of our primary care Integrative Physicians.  Includes a baseline examination, laboratory testing and discussion regarding whether or not you are a candidate for prescription medication. Current health issues are identified that might preclude a weight loss program or necessitate further workup.

Nutrition Consultation.  A comprehensive initial evaluation with a Nutritionist provides a starting point to healthy eating and disease prevention. Meal planning options, restaurant dining strategies, and food label decoding will be discussed. Behavior, diet and lifestyle factors for permanent results while optimizing supplements and vitamin therapy are also incorporated.

Individual preferences, food allergies, and past and current medical issues are all considered in creating the personalized recommendations and follow-up plans.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Utilizing BIA, a revolutionary device that measures resting metabolism, you can optimize weight loss, by knowing the baseline caloric expenditure of your body. Knowing this baseline number enhances your level of control in managing body fitness and composition.

Targeted Nutrition Packages The Patients Medical Targeted Nutrition Packages include an initial comprehensive evaluation with a nutritionalist, follow up sessions, resting metabolic rate measurement (RMR) and a personalized plan. Regardless of your goals,- disease prevention, addressing a medical issue, accelerating weight loss for those already on an exercise program,  energy enhancement or optimizing health- a nutritional program is tailored to achieve the results desired.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is involved in scheduling my executive wellness program?

After review of our executive wellness program information, a PM Executive Concierge will call you to discuss the program and answer any questions. They will discuss possible dates, a la carte options and services that you wish to add to your program. We will schedule the testing times and appointments needed and call to remind you in advance of your blood work and visit to our facility with any specific instructions.

Will my insurance cover the costs of this program?

Due to the programs focus on disease prevention, not all services are reimbursable through major insurance companies. Coverage will depend on your out of network provision (do you have one, if so-what is the deductible and what percentage is covered once deductible is met) with your existing carrier. We will provide you with the supporting documentation to file a claim with your carrier. If you need assistance with regard to your insurance coverage, our billing specialist will assist.  Most lab tests are sent to facilities that accept medical insurance.

For corporations wishing to offer the program to multiple executives, the billing specialist will work directly with the human resource department to streamline the billing process.

What follow up is included as part of the program?

The physician handling your program will contact you three months after your visit to answer any questions and check on your progress. We will provide you with a copy of our findings. We recommend that you follow up in 6 months with a physician. The providers at PM are available to assume your primary care needs if you choose.

Any follow up testing or health services, including PM‘s Signature Nutrition and Wellness Programs, recommended in your final health report are charged in addition to the base Executive Wellness program.

What do I leave PM with?

You will leave with a comprehensive report of your health, including a copy of the entire lab and radiology reports. This will include the explanation of your physical examination findings and a detailed review of any risk factors identified. The report will specify the areas that need the most attention for disease prevention and provide recommendations on measures to decrease these risks. Depending on the specific risks or conditions recognized during your examination, other materials including medical literature, recommended specialists or wellness programs will be suggested
