Seminars will center around bioidentical hormones, thyroid imbalances, the role of thyroid testing, nutrition, artificial sweeteners, lifestyle, and sleep. Emphasis will be on weight loss and preventative health care. The use of First Line Therapy, a total lifestyle program for permanent weight loss, will also be introduced as well as practical ways to change your mind set about how you think about food.
Kamau Kokayi, MD, board certified in family practice is a graduate of Yale University and has over 25 years of experience in integrative medicine including classical homeopathy and Chinese medicine. As an integrative medical physician he works with clinical nutrition, weight loss, detoxification, and chelation and intravenous vitamin therapies. He is the creator and host of Pacifica radio’s Global Medicine Review, airing weekly, Wednesdays at noon, on WBAI 99.5 FM.
Dr. Kokayi takes a multidisciplinary approach to solving chronic problems such as fatigue, chronic respiratory illnesses, allergies, gastrointestinal imbalances, musculoskeletal issues, emotional imbalances, and environmental illness.
Judy Penta, BS in nutrition, board certified holistic health counselor is a nutritionist with over 15 years experience, and a board certified health counselor by the AADP (American Association of Drugless Practitioners) and Columbia University Teachers College. She has an MBA, and is a certified personal trainer by the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine).
Judy specializes in wellness, nutrition, and fitness coaching. Her mission is to provide customized, comprehensive programs that focus on healthy eating and lifestyle changes, and support long term health and disease prevention.
