Our medical practice was founded in Manhaftan in 1974 by Dr. Warren Levin and Dr. Robert Atkins (Weight Loss Fame). In 2004, Dr. Rashmi Gulati took over leadership of the practice.

We are a holistic wellness center dedicated to helping patients discover opfimum health and vitality. Our physicians combine the best of conventional and holistic medicine with state of the art equipment to provide comprehensive care and treatment to our patients.

We focus on the root causes of secondary medical conditions, integrating modern medicine, holistic practices, and natural supplements to spark healing and prevent disease.

About Dr. Gulati
Rashmi Gulati, MD, provides innovative, individualized health care that nurtures mind, body, and spirit. Since 2004 she has been the medical director at Patients Medical, where she delivers comprehensive, personalized health care, treating each pafient as a respected, unique individual. Through their integrative health care center in the heart of Manhattan, Dr. Gulati and her colleagues have become premier healthcare providers serving patients locally and throughout the world. Dr. Gulati is Board Cerfified in Internal Medicine, with medical privileges at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City.

OPEN POSITIONS

Front Desk Coordinator

Under direct supervision, the Front Desk Coordinator performs front-end Practice duties. Meets and greets patients, guests, visitors, vendors, and staff with exceptional customer service. Arrives all outpatients in eClinicalWorks, schedules tests and collects copayments for services.

  • Arrives all patients for their outpatient appointments via the eClinicalWorks system. During the check-in process, ensures full registration in eClinicalWorks is verified and that all appointment pre-requisites have been met. Updates any changes in Epic and copies insurance card and ID. Conducts HIPAA and AOB assessments for all new patients and ensures signatures are on file. Brings any issues with incomplete registrations or issues to management’s attention.
  • Collects all payments, including copayments and fee-for-service payments. Accurately reconciles daily cash drawer and submits to management.
  • Upon check-out, schedules all follow-up appointments and diagnostic testing. Refers to physician notes and orders placed. Communicates with the assistants and/or pre-auth coordinator with tests that require authorization.
  • Reconciles all practice appointments at the end of the day for all patients that did not arrive and updates appropriate status in eClinicalWorks.
  • In preparation for the next day’s clinic, prints medication lists for all patients and prints exam room schedule for the next day.
  • Open practice in a timely manner, making sure all lights and equipment are turned on and functioning. toggle-maintains general cleanliness and neatness of personal work area and patient waiting area.
  • Assists in toggle-maintaining efficiency in our overall front end practice operations; is initiative-taking in identifying issues that could deter the clinic flow and helps to facilitate them. Communicates routinely and efficiently with provider and clinical techs on all pertinent patient matters that could delay the patient’s visit. Assists doctors with special requests as needed in relation to toggle-maintaining practice flow and patient care.
  • Helps ship supplements and fill supplement orders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Prior 5 years of hospital or physician practice experience, preferably in a front desk role. including using eClinicalWorks.
  • Working knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement – Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial insurance.
  • Degree in business, healthcare, or related discipline.
  • Must be a collaborator

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to retoggle-main organized and be detailed oriented.

Medical Assistant – Technical

Performs patient care under the physician’s/nurse’s direct supervision. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing patients for physicians, administering, obtaining, and recording diagnostic laboratory test results.

  • Performs electrocardiograms and phlebotomy in accordance with provider orders; adheres to infection control standards including, but not limited to, hand hygiene, use of PPE, isolation of patient with known infectious disease, and equipment disinfection/sterilization.
  • Assists physicians and nurses with special procedures and examinations including, but not limited to lumbar puncture, pelvic exam, etc. following appropriate protocols such as infection control, universal protocol, and patient identification; secures supplies, ensures the patient is properly undressed and draped, provides instruments to physicians, holds patient, as required, and assists patient after procedure/examination.
  • Reconciles all practice appointments at the end of the day for all patients that did not arrive and updates appropriate status in eClinicalWorks.
  • In preparation for the next day’s clinic, prints medication lists for all patients and prints the exam room schedule for the next day.
  • Open practice in a timely manner, making sure all lights and equipment are turned on and functioning. Maintains general cleanliness and neatness of personal work area and patient waiting area.
  • Assists in maintaining efficiency in our overall front-end practice operations; is initiative-taking in identifying issues that could deter the clinic flow and helps to facilitate them. Communicates routinely and efficiently with provider and clinical techs on all pertinent patient matters that could delay the patient’s visit. Assists doctors with special requests as needed in relation to maintaining practice flow and patient care.
  • Helps ship supplements and fil supplement orders. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • College degree
  • 10 Years+ Prior hospital or physician practice experience,
  • Working knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement – Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial insurance.
  • RN, LPN, or Medical Assistant Degree in healthcare, or related discipline.
  • Excellent Phlebotomy Skills
  • Must be a collaborator
  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to remain organized and be detailed oriented.
