Hormonal Imbalance

THE PATIENT:

Meena G. 56-year-old TV production manager from New York City. She was always a very energetic outgoing extrovert type of person, she was always the first one to say "yes" or "lets do it!" lately, Meena has become the complete opposite of herself. She is fatigued all the time and now experiencing anxiety attacks, bad mood swings, insomnia, depression and hot flashes. Meena is a mess.

Meena was never the person to just give up on life she is a fighter. Meena did a mental check on herself “whats wrong with me” she asked herself? Determined to find out what was going on with her body she decided to do some research online about her symptoms and was led to believe she had some type of hormone or thyroid issue.

THE SOLUTION:

With further research, Meena ended up on Patients Medical website. Patient Medical is a holistic wellness center that combines the best of conventional and holistic medicine with state of the art equipment to provide comprehensive care and treatment to their patients. They focus on the root causes of secondary medical conditions, integrating modern medicine, holistic practices, and natural supplements to spark healing and prevent disease. They also specialized in hormone therapy so if that was Meena’s problem she felt that she would be in good hands.

Patient Medical is in New York City. It’s run by Dr. Gulati, a very famous Holistic Doctor. Dr. Gulati is a Board Certified Holistic Internal Medicine Practitioner with two MD's - one each in Internal Medicine and Pathology. Dr. Gulati has over 20 years of medical experience and has hospital privileges at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.

Meena immediately made an appointment with Dr. Rashmi Gulati. On the day of her appointment, Dr. Gulati gave her a one hour and a half consultation. She gathered a detailed medical history on Meena. Next Dr. Gulati ordered a Blood test, urine test, resting ECG test and a specific Bioidentical Hormone level test.

Meena results came back showing her hormonal level were indeed imbalanced, she was pre-diabetic and had high blood pressure. Meena now knew why she felt like a mess.

Dr. Gulati put Meena on BHRT bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (naturally derived hormones that are compounded to fit Meena’s individual’s body chemistry, allowing for personalized care and effective results.) Meena was also put on chelation therapy, vitamin IV drips and a diet and key supplement plan.

THE RESULT:

After 2 weeks Meena felt let herself again. Her energy level was back, her anxiety attacks, bad mood swings, insomnia, depression and hot flashes were gone. The bio-identical hormone replacement therapy had stabilized her hormone levels. Meena was overjoyed to feel like herself again, she is back at work and ready to go!

Where do Hormones Come From and How Do They Work?

Hormones are actually unleashed from the exocrine and endocrine system glands in the body. Exocrine glands consist of sweat, salivary, and sebaceous glands. Endocrine glands include the sexual activity glands (ovaries and testes), thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary gland.

Every hormone identifies where it is actually meant to be throughout awareness of a receptor protein on the cells of the destination organ. The hormone and its receptor fit with each other like a padlock and key, ensuring that hormones will only affect the designated organs. Hormone discharge is controlled through feedback from the body, a smart approach that permits the body to maintain itself balanced.
